Peter joined Goodhart as one of the co-founders in early 2009 and serves as COO and Board member.
Having worked in investment management for over 35 years Peter has extensive and varied experience working both on the buy-side and sell-side, based variously in London and New York.
Originally qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in London Peter then joined Merrill Lynch where he worked for 10 years in various senior financial and operational roles, initially based in London with secondment to Tokyo before relocating to New York.
Having gained experience in ML sponsored hedge funds, Peter joined global macro start-up Rubicon Capital in New York as COO. Peter then joined with the Rubicon co-founders in developing Longitude Inc an innovative automated market maker.
Following the successful sale of Longitude, Peter joined Russel Investments initially based in New York and then, after returning to London, as COO, Alternative Investments.
With the benefit of such diverse experience across the investment industry, including to both institutional and boutique environments, Peter saw that Goodhart represented a unique opportunity to leverage his experience in a dynamic and challenging boutique business whilst delivering institutional standards. Throughout his 15 year tenure at Goodhart Peter has been integral to the firm’s continuous development toward delivering ‘agile’ investment management.
